How to Use
Shifting subitem dates one at a time is the kind of chore that eats an afternoon. Subitem Bulk Date Shift moves all the dates under a set of items by a single offset — plus two weeks, minus three business days, whatever the reschedule calls for — after showing you exactly what will change. Nothing is written until you say go, and anything you apply can be undone.
Install it
- Open the monday.com marketplace and search for Subitem Bulk Date Shift.
- Click Install and pick the account you want it on.
- Approve the permissions on the OAuth screen. That's the whole setup — no API keys, no config file, no extra login.
The app asks only for what it needs to read your boards and write the dates you confirm. It never touches anything else.
Your first shift
- Open a board that has items with subitems, and date columns on those subitems.
- Tick the checkbox on each parent item you want to move. Select as many as you like.
- Open the item batch-action menu (the toolbar that appears once items are selected) and choose Bulk Shift Subitem Dates.
- In the panel that opens, pick the date column to shift.
- Set your offset — a number and a unit, like
+2 weeksor-3 days. - If you only want to count working days, flip on Business days only (Mon–Fri). A weekend-landing date rolls forward to the next Monday instead. You can pick a region so public holidays get skipped too.
- Look at the preview table. This is a dry run: every affected subitem, its current date, and the new date sit side by side. Nothing has changed on the board yet.
- When the preview looks right, click Apply.
An undo toast shows up for 60 seconds the moment the change lands. One click and it's all reverted. Miss the window? The change stays in your history for 24 hours — open the audit log and restore it from there.
Save an offset as a preset
If you run the same shift often — "push everything a sprint" is a common one — save it once and reuse it.
- Open Settings → Presets.
- Name an offset and save it (for example, Sprint push = +2 weeks, business days on).
- Next time, pick the preset instead of retyping the offset.
- Admins can share a preset with the whole team so everyone shifts by the same rules.
Schedule a shift for later
Need a shift to run overnight, or at the start of next week?
- Open Settings → Scheduled shifts.
- Set the offset and the date and time to run it.
- The app applies it for you when the time comes and writes it to the audit log like any other shift.
Undo, history and the audit log
- Undo toast — 60 seconds, one click, right after Apply.
- History restore — 24 hours to roll back a change from the Audit log tab.
- Audit log — every shift, who ran it, the offset, the subitem count. Your paper trail.
